The Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association and Northern New Mexico Builders Association: helping people connect with craftsmen and trades professionals to manifest their dreams of creating a home sweet home since 1992.
Our Mission
The Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association & Northern New Mexico Builders Association represents and serves the diversified needs of our members and the community. We are an active voice in promoting safe, quality, cost-effective, and affordable housing.
Members of the Association are motivated to uplift themselves, their businesses, the home-building industry as a whole, and the communities we live in through professional affiliation.
We are a non-profit association of building, construction, and associated industry professionals affiliated with the New Mexico Home Builders Association and influential National Association of Home Builders headquartered in Washington D.C. We serve the counties of Santa Fe, Los Alamos, Taos, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Mora, and Colfax.

Representation – the best interests and concerns of the construction, home building, design and maintenance industries are represented through our Association’s work with governmental and regulatory agencies, as well as elected officials at the local, state, and national levels. Our work to effectively enact or positively influence legislation and regulations promotes affordable housing, and construction innovation, and works to keeps the industry economically prosperous. In addition, the Association’s counsel and representation is sought out for governmental boards and commissions, further increasing the influence of our Association to the benefit of members and the communities in which our members live.
Education – Professional and informative educational programs and seminars, including knowledgeable speakers at general meetings, keep members on the cutting edge for current building and other issues affecting our industry.

Activities
Santa Fe Home Expo and Remodeling Show – This annual trade show and exhibition for the building industry is the leading industry event in the Northern New Mexico area. The Show is an outstanding opportunity for members to demonstrate their craft and products to other members, industry professionals, and the public.
Haciendas de Santa Fe – A Parade of Homes – This is a promotion for new homes and whole home remodels that presents innovative designs and technology to the public. A two-weekend event that coincides with the Santa Fe Indian Market.
Industry Recognition Events – SFAHBA/NNMHBA annual holiday party includes the officer installation and recognition dinner.
Social Events- Golf Tournaments, Fall Fiesta, Santa Green Festival, and more…
General Membership Lunch Meetings – Educational meetings are held with informative speakers. The best two hours available for networking.

Who Belongs?
Builder Members – Individuals or firms engaged in the business of construction, residential & commercial building, green building, and remodeling.
Associate Members – Individuals or firms engaged in professions related to or concerned with the home building industry; e.g., subcontractors from all home industry building trades, manufacturers, suppliers, title companies, realtors, mortgage lenders & financial institutions, attorneys, architects, engineers, realtors, accountants, and everyone who provides goods or services to the home building industry.
Affiliate Members – For companies with primary membership who wish to have an additional membership.
Code of Ethics
Members must maintain high ethical and professional standards. We bring an active voice to government affairs and the regulatory process by promoting proper, forward-looking, and valid codes and regulations. Members collaborate with professionals in all fields related to the home building industry. We engage in political, societal, economic, and environmental issues and are an advocate for people’s economic prosperity and quality of life.
Members of our Association believe and affirm that:
- Homeownership can and should be within reach of every working family.
- Homes should be built under the free American enterprise system.
- Homes should be well-designed, efficient, well-constructed, and well-located in attractive communities, with education, recreational, community, religious or spiritual, and shopping facilities accessible to all.
