[Santa Fe] Seminar on NM Adoption of 2021 IECC – Friday, May 24th

The way we build homes is changing! New Mexico Adopts the 2021 IECC with amendments.

Builders, Architects, and Inspectors 

The 2021 NM Residential Energy Conservation Code was Adopted January 30 and becomes Mandatory on July 30.

The educational program for builders and code officials is being coordinated by the Santa Fe Community College Energy Smart Academy and is sponsored by the Santa Fe New Mexican in partnership with Northern NM Home Builder’s Association.

Attend this education seminar to understand these mandatory changes to building practices. Lunch is included w/ RSVP.

12:30-2 PM – [Builder focus portion of the program will last approx. 2 hours]

12-4 PM [Additional 2-hour “deeper-dive” into compliance for Code Officials wishing to earn CEUs for the workshop will immediately follow the builder presentation.]

This education seminar is supported by a grant from the US DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. The funding was awarded to NM Energy, Mineral, and Natural Resources Department through its Energy Conservation and Management Division.

The program is coordinated by the Santa Fe Community College Energy Smart Academy.

Presented by David Best and EverGreen Building Solutions principal Stephen Onstad. EverGreen is a building science consultancy located in and serving northern NM. They are certified HERS raters, EnergyStar, DOE Zero Energy Ready Homes, Build Green New Mexico, LEED, Passive House, and ICC Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiners.
