Builder Membership
Builder Members are individuals of a company actively engaged in the construction of single-family residences, multifamily housing, and commercial structures, or are general contractors specializing in remodeling of residential or commercial structures.
Associate Membership
Associate Members are individuals in companies that serve the home building industry. They include, but are not limited to: trade contractors, building services providers, manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, realtors, lenders, title, insurance, and utility companies.
Affiliate Membership
Affiliate Members are any employees of the builder and associate members who participate in the activities of The Santa Fe Area Home Builders. They are entitled to most of the benefits of full membership at a fraction of the cost.
Representation
Your best interests in the home building, maintenance, and related construction industries are represented through our Association with governmental and regulatory agencies and elected officials at the local, state, and national levels. Our work to effectively enact or positively influence legislation and regulations promotes affordable housing, and construction innovation, and keeps the industry economically viable. In addition, the Association’s counsel and representation are sought out for governmental boards and commissions and other civic endeavors, further increasing the influence of our Association to the benefit of membership.
NMHBA & NAHB Membership
Every member of SFAHBA is automatically a member of the New Mexico Home Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders. Membership in those associations provides additional benefits to our members.
