Real Living Locally and Globally
Sitting in the middle of a closed subdivision loop on Santa Fe’s growing southside, this home was a true labor of love. Originally living in a small home on the adjacent property, Matt Declerck and Martha Yazdani gradually grew and expanded their family in this little home on Vuelta De La Luz. Neighbors became family, creating a community. Having recently founded Yazdec Construction, Matt took advantage of the pandemic as a time to consult our diverse community in Santa Fe and beyond to design a home centered on efficiency, sustainability and mindfulness in the process. Sobia Sayeda developed architectural designs over dinners and chai. Alongside Erem Birkan of Birkani International, we researched and ordered materials from Istanbul. Clara Lopez orchestrated the interior design and functionality of the home as we adjusted to homeschooling our kids. Collaboration made this a reality.
