This beautiful lot, on the city’s north side, offers amazing vistas of Santa Fe’s cityscape as well as a Sangre de Cristo Mountains panorama. However, this home’s site came with significant challenges and capturing those views meant placing the house at the far east end of the lot along a ridgeline. Boss Builders met the site’s challenges.

The finished home maximizes the views. The primary bedroom, its generously defined circular outdoor space, and the great room are oriented to the available panoramas. Taking in the views is comfortable outside beneath cantilevered, covered portals. At just under 3,000 square feet, the home incorporates a rich variety of warm material finishes. Tall ceilings in the primary rooms provide a sense of openness and light.

The architecture respects the traditional historical vernacular of Santa Fe style while layering a more contemporary interpretation. This blend is visible in the home’s crisp corners and the use of metal fascias and columns, which blur the distinction between old and new.
