Retreat to the Modern
This 1930 pueblo style home presented a unique challenge in keeping the historical aesthetic while creating it a modern and functional Santa Fe retreat.
Retaining the historic characteristics of the home, from decorative detail tiles embedded in the courtyard walls to the original brick flooring and the front door were crucial to the homeowners and Zachary and Sons.
Main living areas were given new satin-finish Venetian plaster,instilling a cohesive,timeless finish complementing the sanded and repainted ceiling and lighting systems.
New cabinets and marble countertops along with stainless steel appliances, updated the kitchen experience. The neutral brown cabinet color and tiles, tie in a traditional Santa Fe pallet.
In the bathrooms, original, one-of-a-kind tiles from the guest bathroom were brightened up with new grout and cabinetry as part of a total renovation, with neutral tiles and stone adorning the space.
