The State has updated the plumbing code and it is now in place for the entire State, including the City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe County:
- The Environmental Department has been working with a team of regulators, industry and homebuilders who have been meeting monthly to discuss how we can promote the use of graywater. The team has a simple graywater system application DRAFT, created a list of regulatory changes, and has included kitchen sink waste water for tiny homes. This is an informal meeting to keep you informed and allow for your input.
- The City of Santa Fe Water Conservation Office is rolling out new pilot projects this summer and would like to builder and design community input
- The City of Santa Fe is updating the Green Building Code with new water provisions that reduce the current WERS (Water Efficiency Rating Score) number and a WERS requirement to multi-family complexes and water efficiency requirements for remodels.
